Agency/location: Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission, Portland, OR

Responsibilities: Provide data management and analysis support to Pacific marine recreational fisheries program. Maintaining existing data management streams, developing new data management streams, and providing support in the manipulation, analysis, and graphical presentation of marine recreational fisheries data.

Qualifications: Experience with SAS is required.  Qualifying candidates will have a B.S. degree in biological sciences with statistical/data management experience or a statistics degree with biological data management/analysis experience.  Must be able to work independently with little supervision and work in close consultation with senior researcher. Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills are required.
Experience with GIS software, other database software, spreadsheet, and/or graphical software a plus.

Salary: GS12

Closing date: May 30, 2004 or until filled.
