Message-Id: <97Apr24.120314pdt.17300@gaea.admsec.wwu.edu> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Have you ever had doubts about a student who claims to have no driver's license or no vehicle? It happens to me on occasion. Here's one who lives a good 25 miles out in the rural part of the county. He says on his Res Q. that he doesn't have a driver's license (his old one from Calif expired; he's lived here since last August) nor does he have a car. Yet somehow he works every day in Bellingham. (He's applied for Fall 97.) I don't think the bus service to that remote area is very good, if it even exists. I know we've been told that in such cases, it's not up to us to do detective work to make sure an applicant isn't lying, but sometimes curiosity gets the best of me. Joe St.Hilaire Western .
