(fwd) Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Internship Database is LIVE! The Carlson Center Internship and Volunteer Clearinghouse is now accessible via the Carlson Center website http://www.washington.edu/students/carlson/ The database is secure and users will be asked to enter their UW ID in order to gain access. The database houses several thousand intership opportunities in local, regional, national and international venues and can serve as a great resource for students looking to gain internship experience. Students may receive GS350 credit for integrating such experiences with their academic thinking on a related subject with the guidance of a faculty sponsor. Students may print out registration forms for GS350 from the Carlson website or pick them up at 9 Communications. I know the database will help support our ongoing efforts encouraging students to explore experiential learning opportunities through service learning courses, undergraduate research, intership projects and other leadership and volunteer commitments.
