We find this a very successful method of generating sales. We also display newly "duped" books out in a prominent area for our research staff and patrons to browse and purchase. There are several very good customers always anxious and checking for new material. Many CBHL (Council On Horticultural and Botanical Libraries) members regularly post duplicate lists to our listserv offering first crack to other botanical libraries. I cannot recall if I have ever seen duplicate list posted to this list. We also have the advantage of an annual meeting held at our garden that draws several hundred botanists. We wait until this meeting for our "book sale" to display all duplicates to this new and eager audience. Good luck! <><><><><><><><><><><><> Douglas Holland Administrative Librarian Missouri Botanical Garden Ph. 314-577-0842 FAX: 314-577-0840 Maureen Meyers wrote: > Due to space constraints I have been weeding the library for the last few > months and now I am preparing for my first library book sale.
