Thought you might like a brief status update on Index-NW.  The list has
been in operation for just seven months, and as of today we have 80
subscribers.  

Since its inception in January 1998 we've had 157 messages posted 
(average of 22 per month) by 38 subscribers, ranging from 23 by one
person [no, NOT me! :-) ] to one each by 12 of you.

Just a reminder of a few Listproc commands that you may find useful,
since they are in some cases different from the Listserv commands used on
Index-L and other distribution lists.

Remember that commands are sent to LISTPROC@U.WASHINGTON.EDU with
nothing in the body of the message except for the command.

A. To suspend mail while you're on vacation:

	SET INDEX-NW MAIL POSTPONE

B. To resume mail delivery:

	SET INDEX-NW MAIL

C. To get the list in digest format (one msg per day):

	SET INDEX-NW MAIL DIGEST

D. To get a copy of all message you send to the list:

	SET INDEX-NW MAIL ACK

E. To avoid receiving copies of messages you send:

	SET INDEX-NW MAIL NOACK
