(April 30- May 4th) (PLEASE forward to your Christian friends at UW, the Christian body needs t= o be informed on what is going to take place next week, whether they choose t= o wear a t-shirt or not because God will use all of us!!!) WHAT IS IT? It=92s a week long outreach where the Christian body on campus comes togeth= er and shares God=92s word with all their peers and classmates. This type of outreach has been sweeping across colleges in the US. It originally starte= d at U of A, and was called =93Dave week=94. After a year of student plannin= g (students from a variety of campus ministries), God showed everyone that th= e time to do this outreach on our campus is now. There are 1,000 yellow t-shirts that read =93I agree with Lynnette and Joe= =94, that will be worn all next week by Christians on our campus. Lynnette and Joe are two U.W Christian students who believe in the gospel and claim Jesu= s Christ as their Lord and Savior (that=92s why the shirts read =93I agree wi= th Lynnette and Joe=94). The shirts are just a way to get conversation going. Students will be asking who Lynnette and Joe are and why you agree with them, then you share. HOW WERE LYNNETTE AND JOE CHOSEN? This whole outreach has been in prayer for over a year and God has been answering those prayers and guiding every step. God put it on Lynnette and Joe=92s hearts that he wanted them to be used in this outreach merely as a vessel for Him. God also confirmed in many people=92s hearts that Joe and Lynnette were to play that part in this outreach. VISION: To get our campus talking about God and what they believe. For Christians to come together and share God=92s love and word=92s with the campus. This= is an outreach of Love, and God will move powerfully. This week long outreach is only the beginning of the vision, people will begin talking and our campus will be changed. HOW TO GET INVOLVED: T-shirts will be sold for $5 (pays for the expenses of the outreach) this Sunday in McCarty Hall from 4pm to 5pm (go to the ABC rooms, which are located downstairs. The front desk can help direct you). There are going to be tables out in Red Square all week long with information on events and ways that you can help out. If you can=92t make it Sunday to get a t-shirt= , they will be available in Red Square on Monday starting at 9am. ADVERTISEMENT: There will be advertisements in the Daily all week, along with a banner on Kane hall and flyers everywhere, but due to the chalking fine that was written about in the Daily recently we will be unable to chalk the campus all week. Since we can=92t chalk, one way to promote the outreach on campu= s is for us to ask our professors before class begins if we can write the question =93Do you agree with Lynnette and Joe?=94, up on the chalk boards = and projectors. WEBSITE: http://lynnetteandjoeweek.unos.net, is a place for all Christians and Non-Christians to check out all next week. It contains all the events, the statement of faith, testimonies and more information. This outreach is not Christian pride week nor is it about forcing our beliefs on others, this outreach is out of love. We're just vessels for Go= d to speak and show love through. His word will be spread in beautiful ways!
