The first duty of love is to listen. ~Paul Tillich I know this is nothing new and certainly not deep philosophy, but it just got me thinking. God is love and obviously He has made it His duty to listen... through our prayers. He loves us so He continues to listen. Do you pray to Him? And do you think He does anything after He listens? Im sure He does because He is faithful, but just like someone who truly loves us and doesn't always try to fix things for us... God, I think, continues to listen and love us and allows us to go through our struggles because he knows our past, current, and future situation. Continue to trust in the Lord... (Proverbs 3:5-6) Sorry I hope my little commentary didnt expose my lack of Biblical knowledge too much! On that note.... I guess its time to remind you of Bible Study this coming Friday at 7pm at church choir room. If you dont care to eat snacks and just catch up with people you can come at 7:30. Bible Study will start promptly at 7:30. Pastor Won is going to be in Toronto to lead a wedding service, but he'll join us again on Sunday for worship service. Pastor Joshua will lead both BP/SNL groups for this Friday. More announcements: 1. I heard from everyone that the retreat was awesome. Glad to hear that. Since everyone asked me where I was... I had to go to a Vision School retreat for missions, but I missed all of you very much =) We'll try to post some pics on the SNL website soon as people give me some. 2. Bouncing Babies Pics are due by this Friday at Bible study!!! I have exactly 15 pics now, but it would be nice to see a few more of you who havent turned in pics... give it to me on paper if you want and ill scan it. 3. Were going to set up a flag football match against another church for Thanksgiving day-Turkey (Kimchee) Bowl 2003... girls are invited to play. We have flags so people dont get hurt. 4. Remember there are TONS of ways you can help ANCC in running a little more smoothly... if you can help with the EM library, transportation (esp UW students who want to come to church from campus), etc.... please let the feetwashers or Pastor Won/Joshua know.... 5.
