All programs are organized and conducted by Gustav W. Verderber, a nationally published, award-winning nature photojournalist and naturalist. We post these itineraries only twice a year. If you feel that these programs do not merit mention on this discussion list, then kindly let us know by sending an email to mailto:Sojourns@Pshift.com. However, we hope that you find our offerings of sufficient merit to permit their announcement on this listserv and that you will distribute them to fellow faculty and students. For further information, please visit http://SojournsInNature.com or click the URL next to the program. The link will take you directly to a detailed program description at our web site. VERDERBER TO BE KODAK AMBASSADOR AT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK Kodak & Yellowstone National Park have invited me to be this year’s Kodak Ambassador at Yellowstone National Park. The invitation is an honor and a recognition of my work thus far and I will indeed accept the invitation. This means that I will necessarily have to cancel or postpone some of my spring and summer workshops & tours (see below) since the Kodak assignment extends from June 1 – August 30. To be sure, I will miss photographing on my home ground and working on my Northern Forest portfolio but I simply cannot pass up this wonderful opportunity. If you’re in Yellowstone in 2003, please come by and consider joining me on a photo safari in the park. UPDATED 2003-2004 TOUR SCHEDULE My Yellowstone assignment will necessarily interfere with several of my 2003 workshops and tours. Here is the new 2003 schedule. The Green Mountain Nature Photography Workshop & Camp-In (GMNP & Camp-In) has been postponed until Fall and will now be combined with the Fall Foliage Magical Mystery Tour. The itinerary for the GMNP & Camp-In will remain the same, only the dates have been changed. The new dates are October 3 – 9, 2003 which span the peak of Vermont’s fall foliage season. The workshop will also include a moose hunt in Vermont’s NE Kingdom. VIEW A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PROGRAM: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/greenmountain.html VISIT THE NORTHERN FOREST GALLERY AT: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/forestgallery.html The 2003 summer Africa tour and the Tom Jordan Memorial Boreal Coast Tour have been cancelled. I will offer The Tom Jordan Memorial Boreal Coast Tour again in late July of 2004. This is my post popular tour and I very much look forward to returning to the Bold Coast and joining Capt. Andy Patterson to photograph Atlantic puffins, seals, bald eagles, whales, tide pools, and stunning seascapes. VIEW A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PROGRAM: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/borealcoast.html VISIT THE BOREAL COAST GALLERY AT: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/marinegallery.html The December Costa Rica Wildlife safari and the January, 2004 Kenya Safari will, of course, not be affected. The Costa Rica Wildlife safari is nearly filled so if you’re considering joining us on that tour contact us immediately. VIEW A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE COSTA RICA SAFARI: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/costarica.html VIEW A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE KENYA SAFARI: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/kenya.html#trip2 Finally, we still have three (out of a precious five) spaces remaining in the outstanding S.E. Alaska, 2004 wildlife safari. You must contact us as soon as possible to secure one of those spaces for yourself. Deposits for this tour are due by September, 2003. Don’t miss this opportunity to photograph breeching humpback whales, grizzlies feeding on salmon, glaciers, bald eagles perched on cobalt blue ice bergs and more with me next year. VIEW A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PROGRAM: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/alaska.html VISIT THE ALASKA GALLERY AT: http://www.sojournsinnature.com/alaskagallery.html NO FEAR OF CANOEING Finally, be sure to pick up a copy of the spring issue of Nature Photographer Magazine and check out my article on photographing wildlife from a canoe. Since the advent of Canon’s IS technology, my canoe has become an invaluable part of my photographic ensemble and allows me to photograph in situations I would never have imagined taking a super telephoto in the past. SOJOURNS IN THE WILD This acclaimed multi-media natural history presentation has been hailed by William H.
