Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm so excited to eat turkey tomorrow! yes, we will be having a thanksgiving dinner. and we even got food from America like Cranberry jelly and pumpkin pies. I hope everyone has a nice time with family. I will be missing mine! well, a lot has been happening here. It snowed last friday (nov. 17th) for the first time! it was very exciting! unfortunately it didn't stick. Our trip to Denmark was really neat. unfortunately a lot of us had the stomach flu so that didn't make the car trip too fun but overall we learned a lot from our week there. The topic was apostalic anointing. We did a lot of intercessory prayer. It was a powerful time. After we got back to Switzerland, we had a week of teaching over video-conferencing, we call that 'Genesis'. It stands for 'Global Electronic Network Educating, Serving, and Inspiring Students. It was a neat experience although we had lecture from 6 am - 9 am every morning! We were linked up through the computer to India, Latvia, and Hawaii. Loren and Darlene Cunningham, the founder of YWAM, were speaking to us. Darlene is a really animated speaker. She is so cute. I really liked her a lot. They had an amazing story happen to them during this week. Loren's mother was dying, she is 90 years old. They knew that as the week of teaching started. However, they felt like God was telling them to stay in Hawaii and teach (their mother was in Arizona). As they prayed throughout the week, they felt like the Lord was telling them that Thursday was the day that they should go to be with Loren's mom. They stayed and taught until Thursday and then they left. God was faithful in providing them with the right connections to get to Loren's mom, in spite of the clerk saying there was no way they would get there without a long layover. They did get to ARizona in time, rented a car, and got to the hospital. Loren was able to spend a day with his mom before she passed away. This story illustrates faithfulness and obedience to the Lord. We have been doing local outreach in the town of Lausanne on thursday nites. Last thursday we were privileged to be able to have coffee with a Muslim man. He invited a few of us into his home to have Arabian coffee! He is a very open man and can speak 5 languages, one of them being English. It was a great time of fellowship with him. We have been praying for an opportunity like this. WE have decided our outreach teams! I am going to a very cold place. The place that I am going to is not a very open place to Christianity. so, I am going to send another email right after this telling you the location. I will be there from Dec. 20-Mar. 6th. when you email me during that time, please be careful not to use blatantly Christian words like Bible, Jesus, God, Christ...etc. you can use code words like 'great one' 'the book' 'I think of you..' etc. This is just a precaution but I do not think there is a great danger of persecution. I miss you all very much. God bless you! IN His love and mine, Caroline _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web.
