Employment would be during the summer months, with some positions available for longer periods, at a wage of $18 per hour with approximately 40 hours of work per week. What: Summer Internship - possibility for extension Where: Kent/Everett The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: .. Enrolled in college and majoring in mathematics, science, engineering, computer science, or business. .. GPA of 3.0 or higher. .. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. .. Confident, motivated, responsible, and in good physical condition. The position of time study analyst is both challenging and rewarding. The work involves timing and recording the activities of warehouse associates in a food distribution warehouse. In most cases this requires keeping pace with the operator of a forklift or pallet jack, so quick mobility and good conditioning are essential. Studies will be conducted in 3 different temperature environments. The dry warehouse temperature ranges from 60 to 75 degrees, the chill warehouse ranges from 30 to 45 degrees, and the frozen warehouse ranges from -10 to -5 degrees. Analysts will be instructed on how dress for each environment. Shift times for this work will vary from week to week. Typical day shift hours are from 6 AM to 3 PM. Typical night shift hours are from 6 PM to 3 AM. In addition to conducting time studies, analysts will become familiar with state of the art technology for warehouse operations. This includes real time RF communication with forklift terminals, voice directed order selection, and RF scanning technology.
