This is a tradition that has been in the Northwest for its fourth year and has been a successful partnership with the Wenatchee Ranger district and a collective group of cyclists. For this year we will be working on a couple of trails near Lake Wenatchee (2 hours northeast of Seattle). I send this to all of you to keep you informed regarding what we are up to in addition to racing, and to invite anyone in the area to participate. We feel that advocacy is an important part of our collective mountain biking interests here in the Northwest. The Forest Service has provided us with a group campsite--which is only available to us for the weekend. We will camp Friday and Saturday night, work trails Saturday, and ride trails on Sunday. Bolla-Bianchi will provide lunch and snacks for Saturday and a main course for the evening meal. For the other meals, we will combine our food as it makes sense--so come prepared with food. Please let me know by Thursday, yes that is tomorrow, if you can participate in the weekend. If we don't have at least ten people interested we are going to put this off until next year, where we will be inclined to do twice as much work to keep our reputation as the hardest working user group of the Wenatchee National Forest I apologize inadvance for the late notice-- The Forest Service has been run ragged with the fires we have had in the eastern portion of Washington State.
