The conference will be held at the South Campus Center, University of Washington, Seattle. The goals for the conference include: *to provide a forum for open exchange between faculty, staff and students who have experiences in working with community groups on research projects *to foster greater acceptance, interest and participation in community-based participatory research (CBPR) in the School of Public Health and Community Medicine (SPH) *to encourage more interdisciplinary collaboration on CBPR within SPH and across schools at the University of Washington *to foster new and on-going relationships between SPH and communities across the state and region Robert Goodman, Usdin Family Professor in Community Health Sciences at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, will be the featured keynote speaker.
