Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers [and sisters] and toward the poor and needy in your land. I was thinking guys...this passage is so simple yet so profound. God is teaching us a basic principle: that when we trust him with our actions, he will take care of the results. God WILL bless us for our faith and multiply our returns. I felt that I was challenged this Sunday by this passage. So I challenge you in return to be challenged this week by the very words of God. Give to God your hearts. Give unconditionally to your friends, your neighbors, or to the poor and needy because ultimately you are giving to God. Give generously in all areas of your life BECAUSE the Lord will bless you!!! A friend once old me that we need to do our very best in school because God has called us to be students. When we invest in God's economy, "...God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to." I guess God will make us smarter...haha..just kidding...i dunno. Well, this email is also to notify BPers that bible study this week will be in room 304D at 6PM sharp, FRIDAY Oct.12th. For those of you who might be willing and interested in coming early and intercessing for the needs of this ministry together with other brothers and sisters, please come by 5:15. C'mon, we need you guys!!! Oh yah...about our softball match with SNL. Ummm...they aren't getting in touch with me...so I'm guessing that we're going to have to postpone it for awhile. Sorry.
