The southbound lane should be completed tomorrow (9/1/99). The fencing adjacent to the northbound lane will be repositioned on Thursday, September 2nd to allow for the demolition of the existing sidewalks. This will restrict access to the following buildings: Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Annex, More Hall, Roberts, Wilcox, Wilson Ceramics Land Wilson Annex, Winkenworder, Anderson Hall, and Bloedel Hall. Pedestrians accessing the buildings north of Mason Road are required to use Jefferson and Benton Roads for access. For pedestrians accessing buildings south of Rainier Vista pedestrians are required to use the road leading to the C10 Parking lot. Pedestrians will be allowed to use the center portion on Stevens Way after Thursday, September 2nd. See http://www.washington.edu/admin/cpo/stevenimage.html for wheel chair access. The Contractor will not be working on September 6th 1999. Progress is approximately 1 day behind the anticipated completion date of September 17 1999, the roadway will be complete, however the sidewalk and curb work may be under construction. Memorial Way August 31, 1999 The contractor intends to install the asphalt this Thursday, with the extruded curb shortly after that. The fence should come down tomorrow, September 1, 1999. Conduit is being installed for the bus shelter and the telephone pad. Painting and stripping is currently scheduled for Friday September 3, 1999. The Owner inspection for the project is September 2, 1999. The contractor will be correcting deficient items the week of September 6, 1999.
