We are starting out the new year with a brand new revised 1999 Style and Policy Manual for Theses and Dissertations. The new version can be found on our Graduate School home page, www.grad.washington.edu. The Templates have also been changed over to reflect the new version. La Tex has not yet been changed over yet, but will be soon. We would like all students who are just starting to write their thesis/dissertation to use the new version. Any students who have already begun using the old version will be allowed to submit it only through Winter Quarter. Beginning Spring Quarter 1999, all students will be required to use the new version. The one MAJOR change will be the use of a SIGNATURE PAGE instead of faculty signing on the Title page. For master's students, ALL committee members will be required to sign the signature pages. For PhD students, the CHAIRPERSON and ALL READING COMMITTEE members will be required to sign the signature pages. These pages should ONLY be signed after all revisions have been made and reread by the members. These new pages will be required starting Spring Quarter along with the new format. QUESTIONS?
