We are looking for a dedicated activist to apply their GIS and fundraising skills in a challenging, creative environment. This individual will help draft funding proposals, to public and private donors, on behalf of non-profit groups including the Society for Conservation GIS and the Conservation Technology Support Program. Position involves writing proposals; gathering stories, maps and photos from grantees; assisting in the creation of a growing line of Conservation/GIS books and magazines; maintaining and updating website content; responding to emails and some travel to meet grantees and attend conservation & GIS conferences. This position requires a BA/BS in Environmental Science, Humanities or Business with an emphasis or knowledge of GIS; 3-5 years experience working with or in a non-profit conservation organization; proven expertise in building and maintaining long term relationships with conservation organizations, and fundraising experience. The candidate must also have excellent writing skills and show the ability to design, implement, and direct proposal development.
