Every month, UGM hosts a special banquet for a special group of men whom have completed a substance abuse program. And to commemorate their hard efforts to complete this course, they hold a celebration dinner in honor of their acheivement. Now, you might be saying this really doesn't mean much, and its not a big deal. But to these people whom have overcome their addictions to alcohol, drugs, and other traumatic experiences in their lives, this one night of recognition means the whole world to them. So I hope and pray that you would share in our churches commitment for missions not only overseas, but also within our local community. If you are interested and can fully commit, please reply before Wednesday afternoon or call me before Weds. I will probably be contacting some of you to see if you can spare just a couple hours of your time to just prepare and serve food to these special men. It would be a shame to have these special people have to serve food to themselves.
