Subject: Re: YRBS Update -Reply X-mailer: Connect2-SMTP 4.00 MHS to SMTP Gateway Our plan is that for the questionnaire development we would include schools who are in the statewide sample in our mailing of the preliminary survey instrument for comment. This should happen in the next 2 weeks (since our questionnaire workgroup did such a bang up job on agreeing to 60 questions). These schools would then be asked to comment on the questions and contribute other questions (since we can do up to 99). On the external advisory group who will give us advise on the overall project we had the first meeting today and only 1 local school was in attendance. We have lots of state organization representing school principals, administrators, nurses, PTA, etc but we do not have very many schools. I am also not sure if reps from single schools are a good approach since there is so much diversity from schools across Wa. We are trying to brainstorm who is the opposition so we can invite them to these groups and give them honest information about the survey. That way if they are upset they are upset about reality and not about myths. If you have any ideas let me know. The only school rep today was from Longview. We need to get the word out but are not sure how to get representation.
