We've gotten an affirmative response from Ted Daeschler at the Academy of Natural Sciences, who will speak on the history and present status of dinosaur research at the Academy. Bruce Bagemihl, author of Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity, declined our invitation to speak at SLA, which was a disappointment to those of us excited about a program based on his interesting recent book. In addition to our regular Caucus meeting that is held on Monday during SLA from 4:30 to 6, I'd like to schedule a date/time for us to have dinner together in an informal way. We'll likely meet at the Convention Center and walk somewhere near or if we can plan far enough in advance we can tell folks at which restaurant to meet. For those of you planning on attending the Philadelphia conference, I'd like to know what your preference is: Monday evening after the Caucus meeting? Tuesday night? Wednesday night after the dinosaur program (which is currently scheduled for Wed. 4-6 pm)? Or something totally other than this? ************************************** * Adam L.
