I worked with = the government of Nepal for nearly 28 years, in different capacities as = a clinician paediatrician followed by senior positions in the public = health areas such as the Chief of National Family Planning = programmes,during the 70s and early 80s, and the Chief Planning Officer = in the Ministry of Health. I worked as a Consultant in Family Health, in = the Eastern Mediterranean Region of WHO (in Alexandria,Egypt)in late = 1988-mid 1990 followed by a staff position as a Regional Officer in = health policy,planning.health economics,health sector reforms etc in = South East Regional Office of WHO in New Delhi,India until early 1996. = In 1998, I have been able to set up the Nepal Health Economics = Association, which consists of a group of economists, health economists, = public health specialists, demographers etc.and I am it's presidents. I = am now working as a Consultant, and am currently evaluating the Nepal = Multiple Indicator Surveillance,for the UNICEF.
