Galucci, Dean of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, will be speaking in Thomson Hall 202. The title of his presentation is: "Nuclear Weapons Proliferation, International Security and the Case of North Korea" Before Robert L. Galucci became Dean of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, he completed 21 years of government service, serving since 1994 with the Department of State as Ambassador at Large. In March 1998, he was appointed as Special Envoy to deal with the threat posed by the proliferation of ballistic missiles and weapons of mass destruction. ___________________________________________________________________________ Later in the evening of March 9, Dr. Joseph Joffe will speak on the topic of "The US and Europe in the New Century." Dr. Joffe is the Editor and Publisher of Die Ziet, Hamburg, Germany. His presentation is part of the lecture series "American Policy in the New Century" which is sponsored by the Jackson School, the World Affairs Council, The Henry M. Jackson Foundation, and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Dr. Joffe's talk will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Kane Hall 130. Both events are free and open to the public. We hope you will be able to attend.
