Food supplies are nearly exhausted. The looting, contrary to CENTCOM, is vast and continuing. Dozens of buildings are in flame. A full-scale civil war between Shites and Sunnis is a real possibility. The Lebanese civil war began the same way in 1975, as Fisk notes. The on-site reporters attest to a rapid decline in welcome for the US invaders and growing hatred at their indifference to anarchy--a faster decline than even I thought. ====================================== Steven J.
