Hi all.

I have an Iomega Ditto Max (claiming to hold "7GB" compressed, 3.5GB
uncompressed).  I'm trying to use it with ftape 4.02 and Redhat 6.0 (soon
to be 6.1, but I thought I'd try to back up some stuff first).

  tar -cvf /dev/qft0 /home/example/dir

spins through a bunch of files, then when it tries to write to the device
it gronks the empty floppy drive.  I realize that ftape thinks my Ditto
drive is on a floppy controller, and that I need to recompile the kernel
with certain options to get it to work.

But I'm not sure what options to specify, and the ftape FAQ doesn't say
anything specific.  I believe this thing is connected via a PCI card, so I
assume I have to specify a type other than "standard" and an IRQ and
stuff.  Is this correct?  Or am I already misunderstanding?

How do I determine the correct IRQ, etc., for my Iomega drive (if I need
'em)?  What settings should I specify in the ftape section of make
xconfig?  Has anyone else ever tried an Iomega Ditto Max?

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!
