As a followup to that discussion and for other = interested parties, see the latest issue (July 1998) of the American = Journal of Public Health where the SHARP Program of L&I discusses = occupational skin diseases in Washington State workers' compensation = claims data. The article begins by stating that "occupational skin = disorders are the most commonly reported category of occupational = illnesses not resulting from acute or cumulative trauma, with an estimated = 64, 200 cases recorded in 1995 in the Bureau of Labor Statistics Annual = Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illness."
