Facilitated by Imani Woods, International facilitator; Instructor at Seattle Central Community College and Continuing Education Specialist for the Center for Health Education and Reserach at the University of Washington. This one day workshop gives providers the necessary background and insight required to dispel myths and stereotypes that left unchecked, can influence providers' attitudes and judgements. The workshop explors the history of African Americans as well as examines particular concepts and nuances which are often misunderstood.
