I have often looked at this statement in the law and figured that I want at least "two" factors to help me determine residency, and I suppose under extreme circumstances might there truly be only ONE factor to consider. I have a dependent student. Father sent us documentation that he was employed full-time in July 1996. Lived in a motel for 4 1/2 months, didn't register his vehicle because he provided documentation that the company leased him a vehicle until March 1997, mother provides her driver's license issued in January 1997, and she registered to vote in November 1996. All other documentation is not usable. He has been granted residency for Winter 1998. Mother is meeting with me to appeal this decision based on her husband's full-time employment, and they want residency for Fall. Employment would be the only "factor" that is a full year prior to fall commencing. Is he a resident for Fall or Winter??? .
