For students interested in the Foreign Service career opportunities.

Subject: Foreign Service Exam



The Center for Career Services, 301 Loew Hall, has just received a box of
Foreign Service written examination registration books.  Students may come
to our office to pick up a copy.

The Foreign Service written examination is offered once a year by the U. S.
State Department and is the initial screening method for selecting foreign
service officer candidates.

This year the exam will be held on Saturday, November 6, 1999.  The deadline
for submitting completed application forms in the U. S. is on October 8,
1999.  The application deadline for overseas test takers is September 24,
1999.
