Savaikie" To: dem-talk@u.washington.edu Subject: The CR Petition Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Yesterday, I met with Garrett Ferencz and Anton Bird, the CR's who started the petition to remove manditory SAF funding to the ASUW. I believe Garrett is grooming Anton to run for the BOC, but that's another issue altogther. I've asked three times to send a copy of the exact wording of the petition, but I have yet to receive a copy. They are asking our support on this and seem genuine on attempting to be bi-partisan. At this point, I have no position and our organization has no comment until I get a copy of this petition, since I've learned the hard way on making decisions with out all the facts being present. I want your opinion on this and have an open discussion over this listserv. Unofficially, I'm leaning against their plan, but I want to argue why. I cannot make an argument until I get all the facts, so again, I want everyone's opinion on this subject and decide where to go from here. Thanks. ---------- Chad Savaikie P.O.
