I am very happy that Phil has set up this list. ------------------------------------------------------------------ The Hoh Tribe (due west of Seattle on the Pacific coast) is looking for a GIS director. This person would set up a GIS lab (with $50K budget), supervise (largely from a desk) a survey crew with GPS/laser gear, and build a database of the lower 30 miles of the Hoh River. Arcview has been suggested as the primary GIS tool. The job is funded for a year, but it is hoped that additional money would be found to extend the job indefinitely. Pay will be $16-20/hour, plus benefits, including 5 weeks vacation/year. The job begins in September.
