Dear CCP'ers,

The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities has
established a fund to support research projects designed to
build greater understanding of the unique contributions,
quality, impact, and productivity of urban and metropolitan
universities.

During the 2000-2001 academic year, the Coalition plans to
support two $10,000 grant awards named in honor of Ernest A.
Lynton for his many scholarly contributions to the Coalition.
Additionally, the Coalition plans to support one $15,000
dissertation award named in honor of Paige E. Mulhollan,
former President of Wright State University and visionary of
the metropolitan university mission.

Proposals must be received by May 31, 2000. For additional
information, and to receive the recent call for proposals,
interested individuals may contact Dr. Kathy K. Franklin
(kkfranklin@ualr.edu).
