I have returned to your midst and seek your advice: Just received my first doublebass and need advice on a good pickup for it: I don't want some electro-magnetic PU that's gonna make my lovely URB sound like a fretless bass guitar - I WANT something that will pick up the warmth of the acoustic instrument and reproduce THAT sound as truly as possible for use in jazz, contemporary classical, pop, blues, folk, etc. Any suggestions? Also seeking help in picking out a decent wood bow. Lastly, need advice on care of new callouses I'm developing... OK, they're just blisters right now but I have faith! Please respond OFF-LIST to peace, love, and understanding tony0 http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Palladium/1019 _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
