Just a note. Here in Seattle, we've a shop called Seattle Laptop where I'd picked up two used NetGear nics recently. I'd popped them in a couple of workstations with the 3c509 listed in linuxconf (I'm running RH 6.0) & they've given me no trouble. What exactly do you mean by "reliably"? Can you give some detail?
