Attended BCC for one year before leaving for two years to serve mission for his church in another state. While on mission he was required to obtain driver's license (for liability reasons) in order to drive church vehicle. Though he was dependent on parents for support, they could not claim him because he was not enrolled in school. He has returned from his mission and wants to return to school. He did not relinquish his WA residency and had no intention of remaining in state in which he served his mission; it was a "temporary sojourn" of an extended nature. He was not and is not independent; his parents intend to claim him as dependent for 1999. What can be done for this student? Thanks!!
