In February 96 she moved back to Hawaii due to a job offer, and she stayed there until returning briefly to Everett in August. Then she moved to Oregon in September to attend school there, and she's there still. However, since her veh reg expired, she registered the car in Oregon (!). She thinks I should classify her as a resident. My answer: I can't do that because she never spent her 12 months in residence. Furthermore, she negated her attempt to become a Washington resident by returning to Hawaii, by moving immediately down to Oregon, and by registering her car in Oregon. If she had spent a full year in Washington before going back to Hawaii for a *temporary* job, and if she hadn't changed her veh reg, perhaps I could justify it. What do you think?
