What were the other options for installing lilo were avaliable to you at the time? Is winblows also installed on that HD? If so, what partition? Has the partition (/dev/hda1) been made bootable (something along the lines of "toggle bootable flag...fdisk will tell you the answer to this...)? Good luck, Cliff .
