The Associate Press reported that for the first time, a majority of first borns were conceived by or born to women who were unmarried. Seems like the norm of 'marriage' isn't quite so much the norm anymore. I suppose the media less than scathing (in fact rather congratulatory) reports on Jodie's pregnancy were a reflection on the general societal mood.
