Perhaps I'm being dense in this particular thread, but wouldn't the final 
line be an (obvious) reference to oral sex with "completion"??? i.e. the 
reference to the 'remaining eye' is a reference to a mouth; I can't think 
of a parallel, of course, although what immediately sprung to mind was at 
the other end: Chaucer's 'nether eye' ...
