All of the clone files are now in the same format and can be found in the flybase/clones directory of flybase.bio.indiana.edu. This is described in the flybase/clones/clones.doc file. All of the available clone data from the Berkeley and European mapping projects, plus the D. virilis P1 clones, are included in the file flybase/clones/clones.txt. In addition, the files P1.txt, P1-virilis.txt, YAC.txt and cosmids.txt contain particular subsets of data from clones.txt. flybase/clones/clones.doc, includes details of how to obtain particular clones, as well as describing the origins of these clones (with references) and the structure of the files. If you have questions or encounter problems reaching the FlyBase gopher server, please send email to flybase-help@morgan.harvard.edu .
