There is now a ranking system for ion channel scientists which looks at the citation rate for publications dealing with ion channels. Attached to this, is a system identifying recent publications (published in the last few days) which may be high impact in the future. This predictive citation system uses the history of the principal investigator and citation history of the journal. In addition, several links to external resources have been added and as always, there is a structural database, ion channels news archive, ion channel jobs archive and discussion forum. The website is located at http://www.ionchannels.org and is updated daily. Thanks, Christian Hesketh .
