The manuscript handles several fields of science, such as electrical, fluidic, mechanical, thermal and diffusional systems and tries to find similarities between these topics using physical and mathematical approach. The Finnish version of the Systems Thinking book is already in use in some Finnish universities and because of the good reception he thought that it would be interesting to publish the English version of the book in Internet so that it would be licensed like Open Source software, under some kind of GNU General Public License for documents. In this case the development of the manuscript could be done on the Net by researchers and graduate level students who study topics handled in the manuscript. Because licensing under non-profit license, the writing would be non-profit (same with the original author), but every one who extends the manuscript would also be the co-writer of the book. There already exists this kind of development facilities for software, like CVS, but I don't know what's the situation with creating documents. So, how to license the manuscript so that it would be freely distributable an extendable but the authors would have legal rights for it? Best Regards, Martti M. Mela, M. Sc.
