We are most interested in candidates with training and experience in mass spectrometry data analysis of proteins and protein complexes, or in computational studies of signal transduction or regulatory pathways. The applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, computational biology, or other computational sciences. Strong ability in computer programming is essential. The successful applicants will participate in projects newly funded by the "Genomes to Life" Initiative under the Department of Energy. The ORNL Protein Informatics Group currently consists of ten scientists with highly diversified background, ranging from biochemistry, computational chemistry, biophysics, physics to computer science, statistics and mathematics. Our common interests are in development of computational tools for solving problems from molecular biology. For more details about the Group, please visit http://compbio.ornl.gov/structure/. Applicants are invited to submit their CV to Ying Xu Protein Informatics Group Building 1060 COM, MS 6480 Oak Ridge National Laboratory Oak Ridge, TN 37831-6480, USA Email: xyn@ornl.gov Web: http://compbio.ornl.gov/~xyn .
