To encourage promising graduate students to pursue crystallographically-oriented research, the ICDD has established the Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship Fund - thirty-nine scholarships totaling over $80,000 since the scholarship's inception in 1991. Applications for the 2002 awards must be received by the ICDD no later than 31 October 2001.
