Since you are a student at CNS.BU.EDU, perhaps you can find out who
maintains the mass-mail@cns.bu.edu mailing list, and have him or her
disable the list.  It is clearly an unmoderated mailing list that points to
a bunch of other unmoderated announcement mailing lists.  Such mailing
lists are accidents waiting to happen, and people who create them should be
taken out and shot.
