Studies focus on cell surface proteins that mediate cell-cell recognition and signaling events between myoblasts, as well as other molecules in the signaling pathway through which these proteins function. Efforts are also directed toward the identification of novel genes associated with myoblast fusion. Our laboratory utilizes a wide variety of experimental approaches. Candidates with a background in cell biology, biochemistry, or genetics are encouraged to apply.
