The CPOW (Committee on Professional Opportunities for Women) of the Biophysical Society is conducting a survey to assess gender bias in biophysics and related fields. We ask all members of the biophysical community (invluding faculty, students, men and women) to take a few minutes to fill out the survey. We also ask you to alert others members of the community that might not receive this notice. To participate, just go to the survey site at http://physiology.pnb.sunysb.edu/cpow.htm which will link you to the survey site. The addresses of all respondents will be blocked to preserve anonymity. The results of the survey will be presented at the CPOW panel discussion at the Biophysical Society meeting in Kansas City this February. Thank you for your time. Suzanne Scarlata Jacqueline Tanaka .
