These seminars have been introduced to promote the interaction between the HGMP-RC and the research community. Each term we will be inviting six to eight speakers to give us a seminar. The invited speakers will be experts on our major fields of interest: bioinformatics, functional genomics, expression profiling at both the mRNA and protein levels, mutation analysis, linkage, comparative DNA sequencing, gene inactivation studies, and technology development. We will be providing refreshments after the talks to encourage more discussion with the speakers and also between the attendees. If you have any suggestions, even the names of potential speakers, please let us know. The seminars are open to staff on campus, and the general public. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Timetable: November-December 1999 ========================================= Tuesday 2nd November Multiparameter imaging of gene expression and cell fate.
