Pedro Mendes's MCA Web (http://gepasi.dbs.aber.ac.uk/metab/mca_home.htm) already provides a valuable review for people who already have some basic idea of what metabolic control analysis is all about, but I have felt it needed to be supplemented by some information at a more elementary level. To this end I have prepared a page called "What is metabolic control analysis?" which is now posted as http://ir2lcb.cnrs-mrs.fr/lcbpage/athel/mcafaq.html. Any comments on the suitability of the questions included and the correctness of the answers given will be welcome. Athel Cornish-Bowden (athel@ibsm.cnrs-mrs.fr) .
