I'm looking for some 'generic' (read 'cheap & functional) image analysis software, preferably to run on the PC. I only need to measure areas and perimeters of arbitrarily shaped dark objects on a light background. I seem to recall a program that was written at NIH or was distributed through NSF (or something like that) but can't recall the details. If any of you folks have suggestions (pro OR con), I'd like to hear from you. Thanks 10^6.... DGR PS - Please respond to RHODES@VAX.PHR.UTEXAS.EDU .
