Mutants in the Drosophila homologue, Doa, alter transcription rates of specific genes and transposons, undergo retinal degeneration, and embryonic development is affected. LAMMER kinases autophosphorylate with dual-specificity, and are nuclearly localized. Current efforts are utilizing two-hybrid screens and standard genetics to identify other interacting components in the signal transduction pathway in which LAMMER kinases participate. More details available on request. Experience with molecular biology, biochemistry or genetics expected. To apply, please submit names, addresses, phone and e-mail of three referees, and a cv including a list of refereed publications. PLEASE NOTE: respond to the e-mail address listed below, and do not simply REPLY, since this is being typed as the lab is being prepared for moving. Thanks.
