Mary McCarthy Associate Editor/BioTechniques mmccarthy@biotechnet.com Dear Mary: This posting is not about a specific technique, but about something that I've been meaning to bring to the attention of the editors of your journal for some time. Many of the printed articles are interrupted by advertisements and since not all the pages of BioTechniques have the page numbers on them, photocopied articles are difficult to reference without looking them up in the original volume. This can be very frustrating when a number of articles are to be referenced at one time, forcing one to go to the library and look all of them up again to be sure of the correct page numbers. It would be a vast improvement if the numbers were printed on ALL pages, or the page numbers for the reference printed on the first page of the article itself as many other journals do. ******************************************************************************* * Paul N.
